Renderings are drawn by hand using pencils, pens, markers, and chalks. Draftings are done similarly by hand and to scale using an architect’s scale, pencils, and templates. Renderings help to convey the richness of the space by seeing the materials such as the furniture and the hard surfaces like floors and counter tops. Draftings are used to convey accuracy and attention to details like millwork drawings or reflected ceiling plans (shown).
